  • Randolph Roth is a professor of History and Sociology at The Ohio State University and author of American Homicide.
  • Charles Smith teaches a course on gun violence for the OSU Political Science Department each semester. Smith has a strong reputation for speaking out for protecting second amendment gun rights in America.
  • Brian Rothenberg, Executive Director of ProgressOhio, will represent the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence.
President Obama puts forward a specific plan to protect our children and communities by reducing gun violence, introducing legislative and executive action that combined would close background check loopholes to keep guns out of dangerous hands; ban military-style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and taking other common-sense steps to reduce gun violence; make schools safer; and increase access to mental health services. "This Sunday Forum will be a very special one," said Earl Wurdlow, who organizes the Community Leaders Forum for the Adult Enrichment Program of the First Unitarian Universalist Church. "We have never had three panelists who were more qualified to talk to us about a serious topic."
