Charlotte, NC—This Sunday night, June 1, at Amos’ Southend, Chosen Rejects—the inventors of, what they refer to as “Funk-Punk,” will be appearing, live, with Take The Fall—one of Charlotte’s premiere Alternative Pop-Punk, female-fronted bands. Three other groups will join CR and TTF at this Sunday’s Funk-Pop-Rock extravaganza, including Into Oceans, Weaker Captain, and Ambrosial.
As for Chosen Rejects, the group is fronted by Griffin Oswald on guitar and vocals; Bryant Church on bass guitar and vocals; and Jordan Mattacchione on drums and vocals. Once formed, the group managed to win Gorilla Music’s 2013 Charlotte Battle of the Bands. Shortly after, the group released their music video, "Bored,” which is a track from the group’s 2013 album release, entitled “13th & Main.” Both the CD and video releases have proven to be an exciting turn for the group, in its fast-paced musical journey, which just happens to include this Sunday’s Amos’ Southend appearance.
Since forming in 2012, Take The Fall continues to set the tone for Charlotte’s Pop-Punk music scene. In 2013, the group released its debut EP, entitled “It’s Not The End of The World,” with its hit-song, “Rocketsurgery.” From there, the group went on to tour Eastern parts of the United States and has received air-play on several Southern radio stations.
This Sunday’s show will be a nice proving-ground for Charlotte’s local Funk-Pop-Rock influence. For more information on tickets and show-times, your encouraged to visit Amos’ Southend’s direct link—doors open at 6 p.m.—don’t miss out!
