Long Island pop rockers This Is All Now will headline the first of two shows at Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines on Thursday. The five-piece band released their latest album, entitled Nightmare, on July 15. This Is All Now is currently on tour with the Arizona pop rock trio Radio Drive By and the Boston pop country/rock group Stay Seventeen. Radio Drive By just released their new EP Afterglow in June, while Stay Seventeen released their debut EP Promises last year. Iowa City pop rockers Jocelyn will also perform. Tickets for the show are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the concert. The music will kick off at 5:30 p.m., and the show is open to all ages. Check out music from This Is All Now in the nearby video box.

The nightcap at the Mews will feature Silver Summit singer Sondra Sun-Odeon (pictured). Sun-Odeon's solo debut, entitled Ætherea, came out in late 2012. The singer's music is a cross between folk music and stoner rock. Opening the show will be Sun-Odeon's friend and tourmate Jasmine Dreame Wagner, a poet/artist/singer/songwriter based out of Western Connecticut, and Iowa singer Ramona Muse. The late show kicks off at 10 p.m., and the 21-and-over event will have a $5 cover charge.

The Gas Lamp in Des Moines will host the "hillbilly music machine" Mountain Sprout Thursday night at 8 p.m. The psychobilly quintet from Springdale, Arkansas has opened for acts like Willie Nelson and the Charlie Daniels Band. Mountain Sprout released their most recent album, entitled Refried: Best O’ The Beans, in 2011, and they recently began offering their six-disc box set through their website. The show is a 21-and-over event, and it will have a $10 cover charge. No opening act has been announced for this show.
