This Halloween take a walk through Hollywood's most infamous cemetery

This Halloween experience a spooky slice of Hollywood history with a walking tour of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, which was founded in 1899 – making it the oldest cemetery in Hollywood.

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery is the final resting place of some of the legends of film history including: directors Cecil B. DeMille, and John Huston and actors Marion Davies, Rudolph Valentino, Carl “Alfalfa” Switzer and William Desmond Taylor. Even the notorious mobster Bugsy Siegel has a resting place in Hollywood.

Take the tour with historical tour guide Karie Bible and discover the crypts, mausoleums, exhibitions, monuments and gardens as well as the history, mysteries and scandals hidden within the cemetery. Bible has lectured at the Silent Movie Theatre, The Old Town Music Hall and the Queen Mary; is a volunteer for the American Cinematheque and L.A. Conservancy and is a member of the Hollywood Heritage and the Art Deco Society. She is the Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s current “Lady in Black” to honor the silent film star Rudolph Valentino.

Tours are held this Sunday, October 23 and Saturday, October 29 through Halloween (October 31st). For security reasons tours are not given at night and are approximately two hours. Admission is $15. The Hollywood Forever Cemetery is located at 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.
