Here is another great Wisconsin weekend trek to view creative workmanship at a local quilt show! "Thirty Years of Bobbin' Along Quilt Show" is being presented by the Wandering Foot Quilt Guild of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The guild sponsors the biennial non-judged exhibition.
Janet Balson, Quilt Show Committee Chair for the guild, stated that they did consider selling some quilts at the show with some of the proceeds from the sale going to generate funds for the guild this year. She reported that raffled tickets for a donated quilt would also be available for sale at the show and that a small entrance fee to benefit the guild will be charged at the door.
Vendor's booths and a quilt boutique will feature new tools of the trade for those interested in beginning this craft.
The show will be held at the Oak Creek American Legion at 9327 South Shepard Avenue, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Hours for the show are 10-4 both days, October 23-24.
Did you know…that photos and flash photography might not be allowed at a quilt show? Typically you can take pictures of quilts but you may only use them for inspiration purposes with permission from the show sponsor or artist. If allowed, it is a good idea to snap a picture of the signage on the quilt to know who artistically designed the work.

Wonder how long it took to make that quilt. Thanks for the tip. I live in the area and plan on attending!
