On January 4, Ballot Access News released its biennial report on voter registration by party in every state. All figures are from October and November 2012, except that the Connecticut numbers are as of February 2012. The results for third parties are as follows:
Americans Elect: The Americans Elect group became defunct during the primary process in 2012, but it still has voters registered in its name. Under the Americans Elect party affiliation, there are 237 voters in Arizona, 3,313 voters in California, 3,017 voters in Colorado, 103 voters in Florida, 223 voters in Kansas, 764 voters in Louisiana, 58 voters in Maine, 153 voters in Maryland, 125 voters in Nebraska, 1 voter in New Mexico, 18 voters in Oklahoma, 82 voters in Oregon, 106 voters in Rhode Island, 4 voters in South Dakota, 15 voters in Utah, and 9 voters in Wyoming, for a total of 6,408 voters or 0.0062% of voters registered by party.
Constitution Party: Under the Constitution Party affiliation, there are 80 voters in Alaska, 260 voters in California, 5,702 voters in Colorado, 182 voters in Connecticut, 414 voters in Delaware, 974 voters in Florida, 548 voters in Idaho, 226 voters in Kentucky, 118 voters in Louisiana, 102 voters in Massachusetts, 58,130 voters in Nevada, 164 voters in New Jersey, 143 voters in New Mexico, 3,401 voters in Oregon, 3,814 voters in Pennsylvania, 349 voters in South Dakota, 3,221 voters in Utah, and 90 voters in Wyoming, for a total of 77,918 voters or 0.075% of voters registered by party. This is down from 476,669 voters in 2010 and 438,222 in 2008.
Green Party: Under the Green Party affiliation, there are 2,007 voters in Alaska, 4,863 voters in Arizona, 115,034 voters in California, 7,197 voters in Colorado, 1,815 voters in Connecticut, 634 voters in Delaware, 4,225 voters in DC, 5,705 voters in Florida, 875 voters in Iowa, 637 voters in Kentucky, 1,707 voters in Louisiana, 32,315 voters in Maine, 8,716 voters in Maryland, 6,507 voters in Massachusetts, 1,186 voters in Nevada, 1,203 voters in New Jersey, 6,953 voters in New Mexico, 22,955 voters in New York, 11,143 voters in Oregon, 12,599 voters in Pennsylvania, 1,089 voters in Utah, and 1,317 voters in West Virginia, for a total of 250,682 voters or 0.24% of voters registered by party. This is up from 246,145 voters in 2010 but down from 255,019 voters in 2008.
Libertarian Party: Under the Libertarian Party affiliation, there are 7,719 voters in Alaska, 22,086 voters in Arizona, 108,736 voters in California, 19,585 voters in Colorado, 1,603 voters in Connecticut, 908 voters in Delaware, 19,892 voters in Florida, 1,312 voters in Idaho, 2,203 voters in Iowa, 11,373 voters in Kansas, 2,615 voters in Kentucky, 6,889 voters in Louisiana, 11,256 voters in Maryland, 13,336 voters in Massachusetts, 3,117 voters in Nebraska, 8,448 voters in Nevada, 1,899 voters in New Jersey, 3,541 voters in New Mexico, 3,874 voters in New York, 19,347 voters in North Carolina, 15,434 voters in Oregon, 36,353 voters in Pennsylvania, 1,126 voters in South Dakota, 5,572 voters in Utah, 1,448 voters in West Virginia, and 1,139 voters in Wyoming, for a total of 330,811 voters or 0.32% of voters registered by party. This is up from 278,446 voters in 2010 and 240,328 voters in 2008.
Reform Party: Under the Reform Party affiliation, there are 17,937 voters in California, 87 voters in Connecticut, 105 voters in Delaware, 1,961 voters in Florida, 978 voters in Kansas, 92 voters in Kentucky, 1,441 voters in Louisiana, 205 voters in Massachusetts, 71 voters in New Jersey, and 3 voters in New Mexico, for a total of 22,880 voters or 0.022% of voters registered by party. This is down from 30,237 voters in 2010 and 32,961 voters in 2008.
Other: Under other party affiliations, there are 16,964 voters in Alaska, 539,409 voters in California, 14,155 voters in Connecticut, 3,953 voters in Delaware, 304,941 voters in Florida, 66 voters in Kentucky, 79 voters in Louisiana, 253 voters in Massachusetts, 551 voters in New Jersey, 2,081 voters in New Mexico, 675,202 voters in New York, 100,738 voters in Oregon, 1,090 voters in Rhode Island, 34 voters in Utah, and 21 voters in Wyoming, for a total of 1,659,537 voters or 1.60% of voters registered by party. This is up from 1,152,710 voters in 2010 and 675,980 voters in 2008. Included in the 2012 figure are voters registered with the Justice Party and the Peace and Freedom Party, and included in the 2010 figure are voters registered with the Working Families Party.
