On the third day there was snow, it covered the ground and made for some wonderful photos. Once again we find a new musher leading the pack. Congratulations to Aaron Peck who pulled into first place with an average speed of 11.8 MPH.
Here is Aaron's Bio:
"Aaron Peck of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada; age 33
Aaron is looking forward to his return to the stage stop in 2013. “I love Wyoming,” Aaron says. “The people and the scenery are the best part. My huskies and I will be ready to take on some of the best teams in the world – can’t wait!” Aaron’s past races include 2000, 2005 and 2009 Iditarod; and 2008, 2010 IPSSSDR, 2011 IPSSSDR, and 2012 IPSSSDR."

Ryan Redington seems to have taken a bit of a backseat from his former seat in first place but there are still 5 more days of race ahead so who knows where he will end up. Yesterdays first place is holding strong at second place. However it looks like we have a musher who withdrew. Erin Redington wife of Ryan Redington withdrew from further competition. I was not able to find the cause for this, however I will keep searching and hopefully nothing too serious has occurred.
We started this race with 23 and now are down to 21. Lets see how far these pups are willing to run, for glory and the prize!
