When is a good time for planning your goals for 2015?

Today is a good day to start. It is the start of the New Year…relax, review, think, read, eat, plan.

Yes, it is a great time for planning. Especially when you have loved ones near that you would like to help in the future.

Plan is a four letter word to some people. They equate it with work, worry, stress and deadlines.

Relax. It can be easy and painless if you use our easy techniques.

Think; Imagine; Daydream… are a great way to start. Once you have done this important first step you have to:
Write it down. This simple steps converts dreams into goals. It can be a word a phrase or sentence. Numbers are good too.

Once you have written it down, you can number them, use columns or somehow sort into short, medium and long term goals. Be warned that most people want to do too much short term and too little longer term. That is a good reason why you should be looking forward to 2015, 2016 or even beyond.

Be realistic. Start slow and build on your successes. This approach will help you with confidence, momentum and style. It will show to you and those around you.

Numbers help. You want to be able to measure your goals. Being rich is a dream or a desire, but saying, “I will save $400 dollars per month in my savings account and another $400 per month in my adventure account” – those are goals.

Goals are: measurable, realistic and written.

But to what end? You need to have your goal in mind. I do not think that most people want to save money to just save money. Money is a means to an end.

As a master goal achiever stressed in a method that we have since called “The Bolf WAY,” you have to start to achieve your goals. Writing your goals down is that start.It changes the process from wishful thinking, day dreaming or hoping to an actual state of getting it done. By writing them down you are already well on your way to achieving them.

We could call this system the WaRM, for “Written and Realistic, Measurable.” Our grammar may be off a little but we hope that you use this time to help achieve your goals. Happy New Year, health in 2014 and success in 2015 and beyond!
