Think mobile first when connecting with customers

Smartphones and mobile devices, for many, are a staple for communication. It's simply the best way to connect with one another when we're not face to face. As a result, we are glued to our tablet and phone screens, sharing pictures, updating a status, or chatting with a loved one. But with most of our attention devoted to our devices, how are companies to get their customers' attention?

Mobile devices are a great interface for reaching out to consumers; it's our own turf. Retailers' total 2013 smartphones revenue grew 113% over 2012 and tablet revenue grew 86% over that same period. Social media, online and mobile shopping, and promotions are just some technology trends that retailers say are having a huge impact on their business and how they relate to their customers.
