Jakers Bar and Grill is considered by many locals to be the premiere steak house in the Idaho Falls area.
Perhaps the steaks are so delicious because the restaurant serves only specially selected Double R Ranch beef. This USDA-choice beef is locally-raised in the northwestern United States by a company that is committed to positive environmental practices. The company is additionally concerned with animal well-being and the cattle are grain-fed, which many in the industry believe leads to a finer-tasting steak.
But beef isn’t Jakers only specialty. They also serve up seafood dishes and phenomenal sides such as their garlic mashed potatoes, scones with honey butter, and deftly crafted salads with homemade croutons. Visitors on Easter Sunday, April 4th will be treated to some of Jakers’ best loved offerings. The buffet will feature hand-carved roast beef, turkey and sliced ham. Sides include garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and green bean casserole. The salad bar will be open, and apple crisp is served for dessert. Hours for the buffet are 11am to 4 pm. Reservations are recommended (but not required), and prices are $19.99 for adults, $15.99 for seniors and $9.99 for kids.
