Think French for Valentine's dinner in Old Town Alexandria

Valentine's is just around the corner and it's time to make reservations now to take advantage of some of the menu deals in Old Town Alexandria.  One can't go wrong with good French food on Valentine's and Old Town offers some terrific French restaurants.

But Valentine's is not just about the best deal--it's also about romance, ambiance, and elegant, quality time spent with your significant other.  For this type of experience, Old Town offers some good choices that have stood the test of time.

First on the list is Bastille.  Their themed dinner is "Chocolate, aphrodisiac, spices and romance."   Cost for dinner with wine pairings is $165.   

Bastille made the 2011 Washingtonian Magazine top 100 restaurant list and is known for its locally-sourced food and elegant take on country French cuisine.  It is elegant, expensive, and has consistently high marks on all aspects of the dining experience.   Bastille is located on 1201 North Royal.

Another top option in Old Town for French food on Valentine's is La Bergerie, located in the old Crilley warehouse at 218 North Lee.  The location is quintessentially Old Town, with exposed brick and beams.  A long-time Old Town favorite and popular destination restaurant, La Bergerie is offering a four-course meal for $69 (wine is separate.)

Both restaurants offer elegance, romance, and a track record of providing fine dining, and are especially suited for a Valentine's meal.  But Old Town offers so many great choices.
