Think Big Partners makes big changes for Kansas City entrepreneurs in 2011

This month, Think Big Partners, a mentorship-based business incubator and startup accelerator, is making some big announcements.  In the effort to improve the Kansas City entrepreneurial community, Think Big Partners took a poll in which surveyors were asked what they wanted to see change in 2011 for small business in the community.  Among the top three answers were:

1. More opportunities to meet the movers and shakers of the startup scene and meet key decision makers in the KC community.

2. A better connection to resources.

3. Better access to capital.

So what's Think Big Partners going to do to ensure that entrepreneurs get what they want in 2011?  That is what their series of announcements is all about!  So far, TBP has dropped a few hints as to how they are going to improve Kansas City entrepreneurship in 2011.  Here is what I know so far!

1. Think Big Partners New Website

Just before we could ring in the New Year, Think Big Partners was hard at work seeing that their brand new website would be completed before 2011.  The site now includes a calendar of educational business events, a wide variety of articles and resources, and the company's vision and mission.

2. Think Big Partners Sneak Preview Event

On January 12th from 4:00-6:00PM, Think Big Partners is inviting you to visit their 4th floor business incubator (also known as bizperc, located at 1800 Baltimore in Kansas City, Missouri).  At the Sneak Preview Event, Herb Sih, Co-Founder and Senior Partner of Think Big Partners will be announcing details of the Think Big Kansas City 2011 Conference as well as a few other special announcements that every entrepreneur is sure to love.  This free event is open to the public.  Please RSVP via LinkedIn ONLY to confirm group membership.

3. Think Big Partners Newsletter

Think Big Partners is also launching their first ever startup online newsletter this January.  With informative topics, entrepreneurial advice, inspirational stories, and updates about Think Big Partners' own space tenants, this regular online newsletter is aimed to improve the entrepreneurial community through the spread of good news.

4. Guest Blogger Invitation

Yesterday, Think Big Partners made the announcement that they are now accepting guest bloggers on their entrepreneurial resource, the Think Big Kansas City blog.  TBP has invited guest bloggers to write up about what's happening in their own communities—whether it’s in Kansas City or not—or to help give entrepreneurial advice and suggestions.  To become a guest blogger for Think Big Kansas City, please contact Allison Way (that's me!) at away@thinkbigpartners.com

Looks like Think Big Partners has a lot in store for 2011.  Looking forward to seeing what they'll announce next!
