Sochi, named the "Russian Riviera," is a city located along the range of the Caucasus Mountains and situated along the coast of the Black Sea. The city's Riviera Park is another popular place to visit. The park features a number of art galleries and cafes, and a select number of amusement rides.
There are also plenty of outdoor activiites offered by the state reserve of Krasnaya Polyana. The state reserve is surrounded by the West Caucasus Mountains, making it an ideal location for skiers, snowboarders and heli-skiing.
Visitors will find Sochi an easy city to get around in. Most places in the central part of the city are within walk able distance. Both the Dendrary Botanical Garden and Riviera Park are within easy access from the center of the city. Several bus routes take visitors to the surrounding area for a reasonable fare. The trains run on a regular schedule throughout the region and are very reliable.
