Things to do with dad at Walt Disney World

The Walt Disney World Resorts offer so many family get together opportunities, including dining, shopping, recreation and entertainment activities geared toward the entire family. June is just around the corner and with that comes Father’s Day. That is why this article is themed around things to do with dad at the Walt Disney World Resorts and Parks.

Golfing

Disney is home to many PGA certified golf courses, which host national events throughout the year. Golf courses at Disney include Disney’s Magnolia, Disney’s Palm, Disney’s Osprey Ridge, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista and Disney’s Oak Trail. To book your golf outing with dad call 407.WDW.GOLF.

Do not forget for the smaller guests Disney offers miniature golfing at Disney’s Winter-Summerland and Disney’s Fantasia Gardens.

Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade

Test your skill with a rifle at Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade at the Magic Kingdom Park. Located in Frontierland, this attraction has more than 100 targets right from Boot Hill in Tombstone. Definitely a fun activity to enjoy with dad. While there, check out the tombstones. They are more entertaining than the activity of shooting. One grave says “A carpenter trapped/ When in his coffin he napped.” Please note that there is an additional cost to play at the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade.

Thrill Rides

Listen to dad scream as the two of your ride some of the thrill rides found at the various Disney parks. Fast moving and exciting rides include Tower of Terror, Rock’n’Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest and Big Thunder Mountain.

Into Space

Ride off into space with dad aboard Mission:Space, Space Mountain and Spaceship Earth.

Jet Skis

Rent some jet skis from Disney’s Contemporary Resort or a boat from any of the other Disney marinas. Parasailing is also available from the Contemporary Resort.

Hair Cuts

Visit the Harmony Barber Shop at the Magic Kingdom for a chance to receive an authentic barber cut. The barber shop is open daily from 9 am.-6 p.m. and welcomes more than 400 walk-ins a week. Hair cuts range from $15-$19 per cut.

Many activities in the summer book up fast at Disney, so start planning now to ensure you are able to book all of the activities and restaurants you and dad want to experience together.
