PALMDALE - AV Idol will take place at center court of the Antelope Valley Mall, 1233 West Rancho Vista Blvd., beginning at 6 pm. This week contestants will compete in round 1 of the competition for the second week. Competition categories are ages 5-12, 13-19, 20-59 and 60 plus. PALMDALE - Thursday Night on the Square will be held 5:30 to 9 pm at Poncitlan Square, 9thStreet East between Avenue Q-9 and Avenue Q-10, featuring live music, food vendors, free kids activities and an open air market. Thursday’s special event is Outlaw Round Up. Kids can become an honorary U.S. Marshal when they hunt for clues to 'capture' America's most famous outlaws! Crafts include a 'wanted' poster photo gallery, wooden horseshoe name plaque, and Wild West mustache and beard station. Everyone can take a Western-themed photo sponsored by Antelope Valley Mall. PALMDALE - Sundown at Dry Town will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Dry Town Water Park, 3850-B East Avenue S, Palmdale. Admissionis free for season pass holders, kids ages 9 and older are $7, kids ages 3-8 years are $5. Sundown at DryTown tickets are available only at the DryTown ticket office the day of each event.Dry Town is open 11am to 6pm every day. Saturday:
PALMDALE - Bite Out Hunger, a fundraiser for SAVES (South Antelope Valley Emergency Services) and Grace Resource Center, will be held from 10 am to 2 pm in the AV Mall food court. A $5 donation is all it costs for a free sample at all 12 food court restaurants. Bring three or more canned food items and spin the prize wheel. Tickets are available at guest services.
