Things to do in Salt Lake City this 4th of July with kids

Salt Lake City is a fun place to spend the 4th of July holiday with kids. As always, there's lots of family-centric fun to be had plus special events. I'm going there myself this Independence Day for a week's worth of friends and fun. Here are a few suggestions of events and places to visit...

4th of July Events

Park City Parade and Festival

  • Free. Starts at 8 am

Sugar House Park Fireworks

  • Free. Noon - 11pm – vendors and fireworks at the park. Arts fest in the business district.

Liberty Days at This is the Place Heritage Park

  • Adults $11, Kids $8

And on the 3rd of July, you can kick off Independence Day a little early with The Canyon's 'July 3rd Celebration' up in Park City. The event is for families - and it is free!

If you want some other ideas, take a look at the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune list of July 4th celebrations last year for what you might also expect this year.
