Theme Parks

Spend this weekend at one of the many theme parks in the Orlando area. Residents can choose from the four parks at Walt Disney World, two parks at Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando. Plus there are plenty of water parks where families can have fun staying cools together.

Cranes Roost Park

Located in Uptown Altamonte, Cranes Roost lake offers a place to go to enjoy a day outdoors. The park offers a one-mile walking trail, fountain and amphitheater. Free concerts and other shows are offered throughout the year. For Labor Day pack a picnic and enjoy the day at the park. Park hours for Labor Day weekend are Friday and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to midnight and Sunday and Monday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Lake Eola

Pack a picnic and spend the day enjoying the open spaces, fountain, walking trails and taking a ride in a swan on the lake at Lake Eola. The park is open over the Labor Day weekend with the Sunday Farmer's Market open to all guests visiting the park. For more information about Lake Eola visit
