Things to do in Jacksonville this weekend

Individual or Company sponsorships are welcome. Please contact Robbie at 904-537-9002 for more information. Saturday, September 11, 2010 @ 5:00am. Palatka City Docks In Palatka, Florida

To Save A Life - Unfortunately, teens today are hurting and facing challenges like never before. TO SAVE A LIFE is rated PG-13 because it doesn’t shy away from tough topics. It deals with social divisions, school violence, cutting, suicide, teen pregnancy and divorce—not in a graphic way, but in a way that is authentic to many teens’ lives. And it points to a way out of these problems through faith and reaching out to others. No Admission, donations accepted. September 9, 2010 @ 7:00pm, also on 9/10/10 at 7pm. Memorial United Methodist Church, 601 Centre St., Fernandina Beach, FL

Run For Their Lives - 2nd annual Run For Their Lives 5k to support Northeast Florida pregnancy centers. Race begins at Hemming Plaza in downtown Jacksonville, 135 Monroe St. West at 8 a.m. Registration takes place on-line or before the race between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. $20 in advance, $30 day of race.
