During a recent break-in at Jenny Seagrove’s horse sanctuary, thieves made off with a lot of equipment. They targeted costly items and took away new horse farming equipment, tools and supplies.
The British actress, star of A Chorus of Disapproval, is understandably upset by this untimely theft. She only recently founded Mane Chance, located in Surrey, England, to rehome abused, needy and abandoned horses.
Mane Chance’s official opening was held a month ago on Sunday, August 25, 2013, despite the looting of the facility one day earlier on August 24. This undoubtedly had an upsetting effect on the occasion and diminished the hard work already poured into Mane Chance.
The horse sanctuary is looking to establish itself for the benefit of countless horses in spite of these difficulties. Seagrove talked with the Daily Mail.
I am devastated. The thieves took away our brand-new £6,000 quad bike plus £2,000-worth of farm equipment. "I know people steal things, but we are such a small, young charity and everything is still such a struggle. Having all our equipment taken is a real kick in the guts. Of course, we have insurance, but we desperately need to replace our equipment now.
This is most unfortunate for Mane Chance. Good rehoming rescues are so important at this time when horses need our help more than ever.
