Thief thwarted by Big Mouth Billy Bass

It seems as if there are more and more dumb criminals in this world today than ever before. On Feb. 6 KJRH reports that a Minn. thief was thwarted by a Big Mouth Billy Bass that sings "Take Me To The River" any time someone enters the bait and tackle shop, Hooked on Fishing.

According to police, the thief broke into the shop attempting to steal cash that was left out in a very visible spot, but when he opened the door and the motion activated fish started singing, he obviously was scared off. The fish was found on the floor by the door where he hangs.

Nothing was missing from the store, and only the door was broken, so overall, a win for the shop keep that owns the bait and tackle store. The Big Mouth Billy Bass animated fish has hung on the wall by the door since the shop opened, therefore, officials don't think that the thief was familiar with the shop, otherwise, he would have known for that and likely would have accounted for the fact that the fact that it would go off once the front door was opened.

Nobody is sure of who the thief was as nobody has been charged for the break in.

What do you think of this dumb criminal? Doesn't it seem as if they are getting dumber by the day?
