MotoLiberty was hit by a thief that looked like he was right out of the Bricktop crew from "Snatch". The culprit was in the shop on Thursday and being helped by the staff just as though he was a normal customer; he claimed he was shopping for a jacket for his brother's birthday and was trying to decide between a leather jacket valued at $900 and a textile jacket valued at $400.

"He said the leather jacket was too expensive so he put it back," said staff member Jonathan Ray. "He was standing in line at the counter to check out, just like a normal customer, and then sprinted out the door. I dropped what I was doing and raced out after him as he headed toward a car. He wasn't even totally in the car yet when I grabbed hold of part of his jacket he started yelling to the driver to go. I ended up bouncing over the hood of the car. I couldn't get a look at the tags because they were paper plates."

Jonathan is sporting a number of bumps and bruises today; however he said he's suffered worse on motorcycles and is back at work.

The car is described as a large four-door silver sedan with rims. MotoLiberty is in the process of pulling security footage so they can share the video of the car and this column will be updated as soon as that video becomes available.

The team over at Strokers Dallas has announced the dates for the 5th Annual Rick Fairless Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. This year the tournament will be taking place at Waterchase Golf Club in Fort Worth on April 10.

The event has a 1:00pm shotgun start and is also a “best ball” style tournament. They are working toward having teams of four; however, if individuals enter they will be paired up to complete a foursome.

For those that do not golf but would still like to help, sponsorships, financial donations, or items to be used in the raffle are appreciated. To register or sponsor, contact Jennifer Pope at

The golf tournament is always held the day before Strokers kicks off their three-day Spring Fling so stay tuned for more information as that becomes available.
