According to ComicBook.com on Feb. 10, not only "The Walking Dead" mid-season continues on AMC tonight, but TheWalkingDead.com website goes live today.
Not only will the fan site have news about the show itself, but also covers the comic book, available merchandise, video games, and anything related to "The Walking Dead" genre. Currently there are numerous fan sites now, but this will be the official site for the comic book creator Robert Kirkman and his Image Comics Imprint Skybound. The purpose of this web launch is to tie-in with the show airing tonight.
It will also be home to contests, wiki informational material in regards to the characters from the show, and will be the first contact point of announcements to events like The Walking Dead Escape that premiered at Comic Con that entails an obstacle course. This course is a survival-based, post-apocalyptic zombie theme in relation to "The Walking Dead" show where one has to maneuver through an obstacle course while trying to avoid being touched by zombies. The event will tour the country and running various events throughout the year.
There are of course currently marathon related zombie themed runs for the athletic minded, however this will be more of a realistic simulation of the show where running might or might not necessarily be an option. If one is overwhelmed, it might be necessary to pick up the pace a bit, if not, feel free to mosey along the course if you dare, though it could mean your funeral.
"The Walking Dead" mid season premiere airs tonight at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
