Theros: Godsend, Part 1 scheduled for April 1 release

After the success of the Return to Ravnica's The Secretist Trilogy ebooks, and general player enjoyment of Theros lore, this block's ebook series is finally about to start many months after the first set released. According to Trick Jarrett, Godsend, Part 1 is out three weeks earlier than its announced date, on April 1.

This is no joke, we're releasing the first part of the Theros story in eBook novella form on April 1, 2014, rather than the previously announced date of April 22, 2014!

On Theros, Elspeth hopes the gods will keep her safe from the evils of the Multiverse. But the powerful planeswalker comes to the attention of the sun god, Heliod, who believes she is destined to be his champion. As the gods quarrel with each other, Elspeth must face a massive hydra that was unleashed from the realm of the gods.
You can preorder the eBook on both Amazon for Kindle as well as Barnes and Noble for $1.99.

The actual story being told isn't quite advancing the Theros plot beyond what we already know - although it presumably will fill in the holes of Elspeth's progression from seeking solace from her crushing losses to being Heliod's herald, and the gory details of the Hydra battle. We already know the Hydra is just a test, and that in her next major battle, against Mogis's Minotaur Hordes, she's set up and exploited by Xenagos (who uses the reckless celebration of the victors afterwards to fuel his ascension to godhood). But, of course, that's to come in Part 2.
