August 2, 2010 - The Puerto Rican Salsa band Puerto Rican Power performed in San Dimas August 1 as part of the 1st Festival Puertoriqueño at Bonelli Park. Puerto Rican Power, under the direction of Luisito Ayala, has been a force in the Salsa scene since 1978, has backed prominent names in the genre, such as Celia Cruz, Ismael Miranda, and Cheo Feliciano during their visits to Puerto Rico, and was the springboard for vocalist Tito Rojas' solo career.

Puerto Rican Power headlined a number of performers that included local Salsa bands Orquesta Tabaco y Ron, Phil Robinson, L.A. Plena, and singer Ray de la Paz with Johnny Polanco y su Conjunto Amistad.

Music was por la maseta-- I was just really sorry that there
were hardly any Ricans representing. Living in Cali, we don't
get this often. Let's take advantage when we can!! Me Gente! Where
    were you!
