A three-point shooting competition took place on May 31, 2014, at the Westwood Community Center. Players 2nd-12th grade participated in the event. Everyone who participated received a customized towel.

The following players won for their ages:
4th Grade: Sabrina Sheridan from Park Ridge, NJ with 5 made three-pointers (4th grade did not shoot from the regulation 3 point line.)

5th Grade: Samantha Eckert from Wood-Ridge, NJ with 6 made three-pointers.

6th Grade: Hannah Bennewitz from A&W with 4 made three-pointers.

7th Grade: Channing Digiacomo from North Jersey Blast with 5 made three-pointers.

8th Grade: Sofia Skinner from North Jersey Blast with 6 made three-pointers.

High School: Cherie Smedile and Sofia Su, both from North Jersey Blast each made 7 made three-pointers. Cherie and Sofia did another round, but tied again. They were then given limited time for second tie-breaker and Cherie won.

There was a second round between players who scored 6 more three-point shots and anyone who won their age division. They competed for one minute each.

The following were the results:

  • 1st Place: Cherie Smedile (Saddle Brook, NJ), 9 three-pointers
  • 2nd Place: Sofia Skinner (Dumont, NJ), 7 three-pointers
  • 3rd Place: Sofia Su (River Edge, NJ), 6 three-pointers
