After posting my last article about Agent Kaye's manipulation, it's no surprise that I never really liked that character. On top of her deceit, I also felt that the show had enough "femme fatales" with Kono [Grace Park] and recurring characters. After all, I'm not watching H50 to see women [unless they kick butt].
When I watch action shows and films, I like to see gritty fight sequences, unbridled adventure, and cliffhanger mysteries that I get to solve, [from my quiet nest in North Texas].
Let's face facts, when there are too many women on an action show, eventually we'll start getting romantic storylines. And then? Well...there you have it, my action show becomes another Young and the Restless. Hmmm, aren't some of the daytime soaps going off the air? Maybe Hawaii can fill the slot. I HOPE NOT. I repeat: I really, really, really--hope not. Yes I totally jacked up that attempt at 'sarcasm'.
Moving on...
After reviewing scenes for the next episode, it's clear that writers and producers of the show, plan to expand the team and bring a female member, [reportedly] Lauren German, on board while 'Kono' is under investigation. I'm pretty sure this new member will be McGarrett's [Alex O'Loughlin] lady love. Talk about jacking things up; way to go writers and producers of the show. My response? NOOOOOO, keep Alex's character single CBS! PUHLEEZE, pretty PUHLEEZE.
And --is it me, or does it seem like McGarrett often does something MacGyver-ish? I must stay on track...
Back to I-TEAM! If they were going to add a female member to the team, it should've been Kelly Hu [sadly, Kelly got 'axed' so unless they dye her hair or something--bringing her back would be tacky--but it has been done before (*** see TRIVIA below). Or they could have added Maggie Q , if she hadn't already committed to Nikita. Wonder Twin powers, activate. However, both Kelly and Maggie on the same show? Not really feeling that.
