After Tuesday, in Florida, county campaigns will come into play with focus heading toward the August 14th Primary and the November 6th General Election.
In the Martin County race for Sheriff, there appears to be a rumor that there could be a woman contender. If the grapevine is true there is certain to be an added bit of excitement (amidst the hype) for the residents in Stuart, Jensen Beach, Rio, Palm City, Indiantown, Port Mayaca, Port Salerno, Gomez and Hobe Sound----east, west, north and south throughout Martin County.
Currently there are four Republican candidates with active status (as posted on the Martin County Supervisor of Elections website) for Martin County Sheriff. The 2012 candidates for Sheriff are William Snyder, David Dees, John Pietruszewski, and L.C. Jackson.
To date only one candidate (William Snyder), has posted at the Supervisor of Elections, a complete biography outlining his education, experiences and expertise. Only two candidates (William Snyder and David Dees) have met the petition requirements by the Supervisor of Elections.
When we take a look at the monetary contributions of each candidate that have been reported inclusive of four quarters (2011) with last report dates of 01/10/2012, we get a glimpse of possibly who might Win, Place or Show:
William Snyder: $165,753
David Dees: $37,153
John Pietruszewski: $9,925
L.C. Jackson: $1,280
There is plenty of time for all candidates to boost themselves with morale and money to secure the needed votes to capture the prize of Sheriff of Martin County. Good Luck to all.
