“The Young & the Restless” fans got some big answers on Friday's show, but they got big shockers as well. Now people know just who Sharon has been seeing for so long, but it probably isn't the answer “Y&R” fans anticipated. What lies ahead now? TV Guide talked with Camryn Grimes on Feb. 14 to see if they could score some “The Young & the Restless” spoilers.

Sharon Newman has been seeing what she thought were visions of Cassie for some time, and this wouldn't be the first time “The Young & the Restless” brought Cassie's ghost to Genoa City. This time, however, this is no ghost. An imposter is haunting Sharon, and she's working with Victor Newman to make it happen.

Cassie's portrayer, Camryn Grimes, says that fans won't find out just who this woman is quite yet. Grimes says, however, that “She's a very ballsy character.” In addition, apparently her relationship with Victor will ultimately be quite surprising. Why is Victor doing this? It seems it's to prevent Nick from reuniting with Sharon.

Grimes shares that Victor's initial plan is to drive Sharon to a point of such instability that Nick won't want to be with her. However, they discover that Sharon has a huge, explosive secret that they can use to their advantage. Is this related to Summer's true paternity? That seems likely, but fans will have to tune in to see if that's where this is headed. This big secret will drive them to a new plan for continuing to undermine her mental health.

As for Camryn returning in this capacity, she says that she found the plan to be fun and unexpected. She loves it, and she loves working with Eric Braeden. She adds that this character “has so much potential to go all over the place,” so it seems she will likely be around for a while.

After some difficult exits for “The Young & the Restless” of late, with Michael Muhney, Billy Miller and even Michelle Stafford leaving, will bringing Camryn Grimes back help get fans excited about “Y&R” again? It sounds like the storyline might be a bit out there, but that's par for the course when it comes to the land of soap operas.

What do you think about Camryn Grimes returning to “The Young & the Restless”?
