Last week things got interesting on “The Young and the Restless.” Fans have been waiting for what seemed like forever for Phyllis to wake up and it finally happened. Gina Tognoni is stepping into the role to replace Michelle Stafford. While it isn't the same, fans seem to agree it is an acceptable replacement. According to an August 29 report from We Love Soaps, Victor wants answers from Phyllis regarding Sharon. Will he get the information he's after?
This week “The Young and the Restless” will only be shown three days. Tennis is in the same time slot and CBS is opting to show it instead of the soap both Monday and Friday. After having a rough year, fans are beginning to enjoy the show again. In fact, last week there was a gain in the ratings. It appears that several fans tuned in to see the memorial for Katherine Chancellor. With all of the drama surrounding the show earlier this year, this is great news. Once things return to semi-normal, some of the fans who left may return.
It was announced recently that Justin Hartley was cast as the new Adam Newman, but he won't be airing until fall. Phyllis just woke up, giving fans the opportunity to see how well Gina Tognoni will fill the role during actual scenes. Ashley is returning to Genoa City, which will definitely stir some things up. Jack and Kelly are going to heat things up this week with their relationship as well.
