“The Young & the Restless” spoilers indicate that Genoa City will be rocked this week by the revelation that Paul Williams is indeed Dylan McAvoy's biological father rather than Ian Ward. On Monday Steve Burton, who plays Dylan, chatted with TV Guide about what lies ahead on this front. Many fans saw this twist coming, but it sounds like there's a lot more in store for viewers as this all plays out.

Burton says that the Paul twist affects everybody and the confirmation does come soon that Dylan's biological father is Paul, not Ian. Interestingly the “Y&R” star says that he only found out about the dad switch a couple of months ago, and he was very excited. Burton teases that fans will not want to miss the upcoming episodes on this storyline, as it impacts many relationships along the way. Victor and Nikki as well as Paul and Christine's relationships will naturally be changed as this news is revealed.

As for Dylan's reaction, it seems as he copes with the shocking news his PTSD will reappear. While a solid relationship between Paul and Dylan will surely form, it's not going to happen easily or overnight. As for Ian, Burton's “The Young & the Restless” spoilers indicate that he's got another wrench to throw into the mix of things very soon.

Unfortunately there are a number of “Y&R” fans who make it clear they're not necessarily fans of Steve Burton or the character of Dylan. That said, the actor says he loves being right where he is. He tries to make it clear that he left “General Hospital” not because of some master Jill Phelps plan, but because “GH” didn't make a move to keep him.

Burton has confirmed that he's sticking around Genoa City for the foreseeable future. There is a lot of buzz about his “General Hospital” role, and he acknowledges that “GH” will surely recast the role of Jason Morgan. He says it was tough to leave “GH,” but joining his current soap “has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”

According to the latest “The Young & the Restless” spoilers from She Knows Soaps, the parenting twist will play out in various storylines throughout the summer. There's plenty more on the way for those in Genoa City, as Adam Newman surely will be showing his face relatively soon and fans can't wait. Tune in to “Y&R” weekdays on CBS to see how these latest twists and turns play out.
