'The Young and the Restless', like any enduring daytime drama, needs power couples. That's why the long-awaited reunion between 'Sharon' and 'Nick' is worth many rounds of applause. But, will this revival be able to endure not one, but two, deep dark secrets?

Modern pop culture mergers press two first names into one. That quirky method has been the rage for awhile, but it's still fun. And so, the characters played by Sharon Case and Joshua Morrow have been nicely reunited by CBS' soap writers to form 'Shick' once more.

Fighting through a clear viewer storm, it's obvious that 'YR' wants to steer most fans in a better direction. So, Camryn Grimes returned to town awhile back to regain her full-time employment stature, though not her original role, and 'Cassie Newman's' parents rediscover their soul mate status.

As with all Genoa City matters, some unresolved tidbits loom: 1. Will 'Sharon' come clean about 'Summer's' true biological status? 2. Will whoever eventually renews the 'Phyllis Summers' role awake and remember that a specific blonde nemesis enabled her comatose state?

Great relationships are often sparked by instant chemistry. If developed formulas prove strong enough, nothing will destroy their power to endure.
