'Adam Newman' isn't dead, as viewers of 'The Young and the Restless' already know. But, a timetable for replacing the charismatic actor who previously portrayed Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden's) son now appears to have been set.

The 'Delia Dies' and subsequent 'Adam Disappears' storylines recently pushed YR to its highest public popularity ratings in eight years, which wasn't surprising considering the on- and off-screen dramas involving a number of its scripted stars. This iconic CBS' steamer also continues to outpace the three remaining broadcast network daytime shows by a wide margin as well.

Disregarding countless jigsaw puzzled theories about the controversial issues that arose one week before Christmas day we are still left with one empty roster spot on this Genoa City team. Based upon logical speculation, the real issue at-hand is when, not if, Michael Muhney's replacement will arrive.

'Chelsea Newman' (Melissa Claire Egan) got through to her father-in-law by the end of the most recent cliffhanger Friday. So, seasoned soap fans know that means 'Victor' will find her guy. With this master's focused attention, the face of whoever the new 'Adam' will be is soon to be seen.

Might this magically transformed 'Junior' villain make his first appearance during the May ratings Sweeps?
