'The Young and the Restless': Michael Muhney's interim replacement pays off

It's hard to imagine that whoever actually replaces Michael Muhney on 'The Young and the Restless' would be filming these mysterious partial shots that have been shown of 'Adam Newman', wherever he may be. But, this electric character is alive and still manipulating his father, as was seen through a Friday payoff from some unknown location.

'Victor' (Eric Braeden) and 'Chelsea' (Melissa Claire Egan) now believe that dental records confirm the death of their dearly beloved. However, the 'Dark Knight' often heads extremely meticulous investigations. While it's possible that he may have more than one investigator digging for information, it does seem like his search for 'Adam' has ended.

With little more than persistent rumors floating about in every digital dimension, it's impossible to actually know when Muhney's character's medically repaired face will be shown. Might May's Nielsen Ratings' Sweeps become the right time and place?

Plenty of wanting actors would surely accept what will certainly be a highly-controversial initial set of appearances on this daytime screen. However, there have been some soap opera instances where one solid actor was able to re-imagine a very popular part and make it his, or her, own.

It can be properly assumed that 'YR' has been using a bit player to mimic 'Adam's' headless body in some teaser scenes since that fabled black SUV crashed. Whoever agrees to fully assume Muhney's old role better be thick-skinned. Because that brave individual will face sharpened social media knives the moment his face is seen.
