Michael Muhney is long gone. So, whatever actor has (or will) assume his old role on 'The Young and the Restless' is surely the one responsible for reaching out to 'Chelsea Newman' (Melissa Claire Egan) through the digital dimension.
Inspired by more than a gut feel, 'Chelsea' continues to piece together circumstantial evidence (spurred by off-screen writing prompts, tilted toward a major resurrection) that indicates her husband is still alive. Just prior to CBS' two-day college basketball break, she received yet another cell phone call from her still-dearly beloved. 'Billy Abbott' (David Tom) was present as the birth mother of his remaining child apparently received a ring from beyond the grave.
With real-life mystery surrounding Muhney's sudden December departure still to be solved, practical matters will soon be set. As viewers have been shown, the 'Adam' character almost certainly appears to be receiving medical treatment for his injuries at an unknown location.
Considering 'Victor Newman's' (Eric Braeden) vast resources, one would think that an old-fashioned call trace would provide some information as to the general origin of 'Chelsea's' mute dialer. But, at least a five-day wait is in order for loyal Genoa City devotees.
Of course, savvy viewers know that a full resolution to this matter might not be revealed until Nielsen's May “Sweeps” take place between April 24 and May 21.
