Ian Somerhalder tweeted on October 31 that the trailer for the Years of Living Dangerously has been released. ‘SO EXCITED to share with you all-the new trailer by @YEARS OF LIVING HERE!!!!! PLS watch, share, like, follow!!! bitly10322Q1.
James Cameron ,(Titanic) the director of the series lends his voice for the introduction of the trailer. ‘Ninety-nine scientists out of a hundred say that climate change is real and it’s only going to get worse. If you were sick and you got a hundred doctors and ninety-nine of them said you needed an operation would you get a second opinion? I don’t think so.’… ‘Our world is changing faster and more dramatically than ever before.’
Jerry Weintraub,’ legendary’ producer of the project, adds ‘ hurricanes are twice as big as they every were before, ice is melting where its not suppose to melt and it’s because of global warming , I think.’ Another very disturbing facet of the footage is that methane gas is coming out of pipes all over the U.S., not to mention forest fires are not longer seasonal and can take place all year long, the seasonal changes in Texas are disappearing and there is a good possibility that we might run out of water.
James Cameron continues ‘People think global warming is about melting glaciers and polar bears, but I think that’s a big mistake it is 100% a people story. … Jerry and I are putting together the ultimate task. TV stars like you’ve never seen them before.- they’re the correspondents meeting the people whose lives have been affected by this… This is the biggest story of our time and this is the time to tell it.’
' Years of Living Dangerously' is an eight part series to be broadcast on the Showtime network and is scheduled to air in April 2014.
