There are several major Humanist events coming to Florida as well as a few major conferences that Humanists from Florida are planning to attend.
Moving Secularism Forward: March 1st – 4th 2012: Orlando FL
The Center for Inquiry and the Council for Secular Humanism are combing to host a conference in Orlando to help Floridians learn more about and mobilize to protect the Blaine Amendment, which is Florida’s prohibition on state funding of religion.

Secular Celebrant Training: March 1st 2012: Orlando FL
If you have ever been interested in becoming a secular celebrant, the Center for Inquiry is hosting a Secular Celebrant training session from 7 to 9 pm in Orlando. This will be at the same hotel as the Moving Secularism Forward conference (above). Registration is limited and you need to register for this training in advance. Registration deadline is Feb 19th 2012.

The Reason Rally: March 24th 2012: Washington DC
19 separate secular organizations have combined forces to organize what is being billed as the largest gathering of the secular movement in world history. Several area activists are making plans to attend. The Reason Rally features Richard Dawkins, Tim Minchin, Bad Religion, Taslima Nasrin, James Randi and more.

American Humanist Association Conference: June 7th – 10th, 2012: New Orleans LA
This is the 71st annual conference of the American Humanist Association and it features Gloria Steinem who is being named Humanist of the Year.
