"The X Factor" USA will return to FOX Dec. 11 as the top four acts compete for spots in the season three finals. Each act will perform a whopping three songs, including a duet with one of the other finalists and a viewer-chosen tune. A Dec. 11 afternoon update to the iTunes store revealed the songs that several of the acts will sing for America's votes and the mentors' critiques.
The set list for Alex & Sierra, the adorable and talented boyfriend/girlfriend duo composed of Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton, includes the fan selected "Little Talks," as well as the Sara Bareilles hit "Gravity." They'll also bring their eclectic style to an as yet unnamed duet with Carlito Olivero, the last remaining member of mentor Paulina Rubio's boys' group.
In addition to a duet with Alex & Sierra, Latin heartthrob in training Olivero will sing Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend," the tune chosen for him by show fans. He'll also put his spin on Marc Anthony's "I Need to Know."
Simon Cowell's other remaining act, the manufactured country boy band Restless Road, will take a pair of popular genre-specific tunes in the viewer-voted Luke Bryan hit "That's My Kind of Night" and Hunter Hayes' ballad "Wanted." The group, comprised of former solo singers Andrew Scholz, Colton Pack and Zach Beeken, will also sing a duet with the last of Kelly Rowland's over 25s, single dad Jeff Gutt.
Gutt's other assignments include the viewer-voted "Hallelujah," which he used for his 2012 "X Factor USA" audition, and Imagine Dragons' "Demons."
"The X Factor" USA season three resumes Dec. 11 with the semifinal round of action.
