"The X Factor" USA 2013 resumes Dec. 18 on FOX as the top three acts do battle in the season three performance finale. According to odds posted by Bovada Sportsbook on Dec. 18, the sweet-as-pie boyfriend/girlfriend duo of Alex & Sierra is favored to win the competition by a substantial margin, while another contestant's victory would be an enormous surprise.
The duo, comprised of Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton, enters the finale favored to take the title and the million-dollar recording contract with amazing 1/4 odds. The pair has enjoyed tremendous success on the iTunes charts during their tenure as mentor Simon Cowell's act, scoring number one hits with their takes on both Sara Bareilles' "Gravity" and "Say Something" by A Great Big World. As of 8:30 AM Pacific time on Dec. 18, seven of the duo's recordings ranked on the top 400 singles chart.
Second most likely to take the title with 7/2 odds is single dad and long-time musician Jeff Gutt, who represents over 25s mentor Kelly Rowland's last chance at winning her debut season as a coach. Like Alex & Sierra, Gutt has enjoyed solid success with music downloaders, most recently notching a top 10 placement with his spin on Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
The long-shot of the bunch with 12/1 odds of victory is Carlito Olivero, the Latin sensation-in-training and last remaining member of mentor Paulina Rubio's squad. Twice saved from elimination during the bottom two showdown, Olivero has grown stronger throughout the season, gaining the attention of enough voters to secure his spot in the finale.
