Several stars from "The X Factor" U.K. went on Twitter to express their thoughts and reactions to the 2013 Brit Awards ceremony, which was held at the O2 Arena in London on Feb. 20, 2013.
As previously reported, One Direction performed "One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)" at the show and won the 2013 Brit Award for Best Brits Global Success. And how did the group celebrate the victory? According to a tweet from One Direction's Niall Horan, One Direction went to McDonald's after the show. One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. One Direction is now tied with JLS for being the "X Factor" act with the most Brit Awards. JLS and One Direction have two Brit Awards each.
JLS (which came second place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2008) was at the 2013 Brit Awards, and the members of the group were going crazy on Twitter over Justin Timberlake, who performed at the awards show and at a Brit Awards after-party. The members of JLS also attended Roc Nation's Brit Awards after-party.
Meanwhile, Olly Murs (second place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2009) has been nominated for several Brit Awards but has yet to win any, and he confessed on Twitter that he was disappointed that he lost the Best British Male Solo Artist prize to Ben Howard this year, but Murs graciously praised Howard.
Alexandra Burke (winner of "The X Factor" U.K. in 2008) wasn't at the show, but she also tweeted about her admiration of Howard. "The X Factor" U.K. host Dermot O'Leary did too. O'Leary was at the 2013 Brit Awards to present the prize for Best International Female Solo Artist, which went to Lana Del Rey.
Rebecca Ferguson (second place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010) was at the awards show and tweeted that it was "a lovely night."

Feb. 21, 2013 update: Sony Music is the record-company partner for "The X Factor," so naturally, several "X Factor" stars went to Sony Music's Brit Awards after-party at the Arts Club in London, including One Direction, Burke and Cowell.
According to the Daily Mirror, Cowell "spent the majority of the evening with smiley blonde Caroline Stanbury. The pair sat together in a corner, and Caroline, who’s a bespoke gift company founder (we think that means knitted purses and things like that) wrapped her arm around Simon's neck affectionately." The Daily Mirror also published close-up paparazzi photos of Cowell with markings behind his ears that could be the result of plastic surgery.
The Daily Mirror also reports that One Direction's Harry Styles (who is 19) was accompanied by his mother, Anne Cox, at the Sony after-party. Styles hung out all night with his best friend Nick Grimshaw, a BBC Radio 1 DJ. According to the Daily Mirror: "The pair were seen falling into a car at 6 a.m. [GMT] on [Feb. 21, 2012], heading to the BBC studios, where they went on air and sounded a little, er confused."
Meanwhile, Mumford & Sons (who lost the Best Brits Global Success prize to One Direction) reportedly snubbed One Direction backstage at the awards show when One Direction went to offer congralations for Mumfod & Sons winning the award for Best British Group. (One Direction was nominated in that category too.)
A source told the Daily Mirror: “The bands were passing in the corridor and 1D made an attempt to chat to them and say there were no hard feelings about them both winning different categories. But Mumford were having none of it. They didn’t want to know. It was really awkward and everyone noticed.”
One Direction's Louis Tomlinson commented on the snub to the Daily Mirror: “It was disappointing. Mumford’s reaction was disappointing. We’re really big fans and wanted to congratulate them. It was a shame.”
Meanwhile, Boy George was another artist who reportedly had a not-so-friendly encounter with One Direction backstage at the 2013 Brit Awards. The former Culture Club singer took his 13-year-old niece Molly Fitzpatrick (a One Direction fan) to the show as his date. While One Direction's Styles posed for a photo with Fitzpatrick, One Direction's Payne reportedly refused.
And that led to Boy George lashing out on Twitter: "Top marks to Harry Styles for stopping for a picture with my niece and Bo**ox's to Liam and the disrespectful w**ker of a minder!"
Payne responded on Twitter: "Now now boy lets not tell porkies firstly thanks for getting my name wrong three times secondly then asking me where is liam?...awkward. Then when you finally got it right saying you wanted Niall instead. If you would have asked me for a picture I would have stopped bro I just did what you said and pointed niall out for you. So u just keep wearing ur strange hats and enjoy yourself my little Georgie pie... It's still not cool you just look weird."
Meanwhile, Demi Lovato (who is currently waiting to hear if she will continue to be a judge on "The X Factor" U.S.) was seen holding hands with One Direction's Horan at the Sony Music party, according to a report on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. Horan and Lovato have publicly admitted that they have crushes on each other, but they had said in many interviews that they are "just friends."
On Feb. 14, 2013, Lovato was seen having a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with her on-again/off-again boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, according to Us Weekly. So far, Lovato, Valderrama and Horan aren't commenting, but if there is a love triangle going on, then Valderrama seems to be Lovato's favored suitor at the moment, since Us Weekly reported that Lovato was seen publicly "making out" with Valderrama on Valentine's Day.
