The defamation lawsuit against X Factor judge Britney Spears begins Friday.

The defamation lawsuit filed against The X Factor judge Britney Spears gets under way on Friday. Spears’ former manager Sam Lufti filed the libel and defamation suit against Spears and her parents.

Spears’ attorney is preparing to question Lufti extensively regarding unusual tweets by troubled rocker Courtney Love. Love has repeatedly tweeted nasty digs at Spears seemingly firmly on the side of Lufti.

Love tweeted, “She can judge X factor but she can’t talk in court?? She was in court weeks ago talking…” Love makes it plain to everyone following her on Twitter that she believes that the pop star should be forced to testify in court.

A source close to the situation insinuates that the reason behind Love’s tweets is because Lufti has been talking to his client. “It has been rumored that Sam is managing Courtney’s career, so Britney’s lawyers will want to cross examine him and will want the jury to know what Sam has told Courtney about the case.”

“Sam was poisonous to Britney, she lost custody of her kids while he was her manager.” The source stated. “And she was also hospitalized twice for mental health issues. It’s no coincidence that she’s now doing much better without Sam in her life.”

In addition to Lufti, Britney’s parents Jamie and Lynne Spears and her fiancé Jason Trawick are also expected to testify. According to the legal documents, Lufti is suing her parents for breach of contract, libel and defamation. He is basing his lawsuit on passages found in mom Lynne’s book, Through the Storm.
