The worst places to drive in the world

One of the most important days in an American teenager’s life is their sixteenth birthday. Aside from the party and gifts comes what the teen is truly looking forward to: getting their drivers license. This may make some of you cringe as you think about the numerous teenagers on the road texting and playing their new Taylor Swift CD at decibels that could rock the foundation of a small village, but let me reassure you that, for the most part, what we in America encounter on our roads is tame compared to some of the world’s most dangerous places to drive.

Take India for example, where many drivers choose not to use their lights after dark on poorly maintained roads. Or Beijing, the city that holds the record for the mother of all traffic jams. This infamous traffic jam lasted twelve days and stretched across sixty-two miles. This gives a new meaning to getting home late from work!

This infographic presented by TraderQuote (click here to see the full infographic) explains why these places, and many others, made the list for the worst places to drive.
