The World is still here- beware of false prophets

I am surprised someone had the audacity to predict that the Rapture would take place today, May 21, 2011 at 6PM. It is more surprising that many people actually believed this absurd story. This false prophesy by a so-called Christian leader only make it harder for true Believers to witness to those who need Salvation.

To those people who were gripped with fear about whether or not today would be your last day on Earth, here is a scripture that should put your mind at ease. “No man knows what hour the Lord will come" (Matt 24:42) Not even the angels in heaven only the Father (Matt 24:36). These scriptures and many others in the Bible clearly teach us that only God knows when Jesus will make His triumphant return. The most important thing you can do is be ready whenever He comes.

If you are not sure what you need to do to get ready, here is a passage of scripture that will help you. Romans 10:9-10 “If you will confess with your mouth (out loud) Jesus as Lord and Savior and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. Once you have done this, pray and ask God to direct you to a church where they actually teach from the Bible. This is where your growth and maturity as a Christian will take place. You will then be able to discern between those who teach the truth and perpertrators of the Gospel (false prophets).
