Today we check-in with ourselves after the madness of the election only to realize that we are still basically in charge of ourselves. Time is nearing the end of the Mayan Calendar and we are all now in anticipation of what we are to expect or discover in this road to what many call, the end. Yet, really we are to buckle down in these remaining days of wonder and look at how we are functioning in our lives and how clear we actually are about who and what we represent to society and ourselves.
How do we look from the inside out?
We have a system of checks and balances in our bodies that are represented by spinning wheels of energy called chakras. There are lower and upper chakras with meridians linking energy to specific organs, senses, and emotions. The heart chakra is our place where the lower chakras funnel information to the upper chakras. There is another chakra which does not get too much attention but exists to help us flow more fluidly in the physical realm and giving us our belief of the spiritual influence in our lives. This is the Thymus- High Heart and the 8th chakra in the chakra system. The 8th chakra opens our communication of beliefs and ideals from our inner clarity of who we are and how we fit in with our outer environment.
The thymus is our energy center of “intent”. When we intend to say something but are blocked as the words are not flowing out clearly, we have become disconnected from the communication chakra, the throat and the heart chakra. So when the words you wish to say are heard “out of context”, jumbled, or not at all you are having an imbalance. The heart is where we filter and define what the lower chakras, have tuned into from the sense of power, creativity and security we have learned to embody. These centers are our adjusted experience toward our outside environments. The Thymus is the energy center between the two (throat and heart). The Thymus lies just above and to the right of the heart chakra. This chakra is represented by the element of water; the flow of life within our interior world and the physical world. This flow includes our communication of feelings, thoughts, emotions, and what we determine to be our life purpose. This is why the balance of all the chakras is important as it is our information highway of expression, health, and individual truth.
The heart processes information and expels it upward to ignite outward expression of feelings, emotional ideas, and unconditional love. As this energy transfers and takes a vertical path, it touches the thymus. When the Thymus is open and clear it blends individual truth with universal acceptance in a compassionate and spiritually manifested way. This is our center for intention. The Thymus then is our editor that makes sure, for one, that what we want to say is said in the tone and intention we want to express it in. With all this in mind, it is important to open and fine tune this chakra by connecting to the higher awareness that we all have available to us through meditation.
This chakra becomes our focus in the new world approaching as the change is going to be coming from our universal awareness to truth and how we communicate to each other using compassion and the belief in the “one.” We should be moving away from deceit, denial, and deception. We are moving toward the belief that what we put out comes back tenfold. This is more energetically charged than any karmic lessons we will endure. We are entering into the realm of universal consciousness and the possibility for the awakened to tune into the universal mind.
The Thymus chakra represents Christ Consciousness, the Buddha nature, and the “I Am”. This is our destination for spiritual connection and outer world relationship to a higher power. If this chakra is blocked we can become jaded to reality and make judgments toward others. When we are in an unbalanced state, we may have these intense emotions and thoughts but not be able to express them. As the Thymus is also our center for immunity and the endocrine system, when we repress we are more vulnerable to sickness and less able to fight off disease. (dis-ease)
Stress equaling a path to sickness is not farfetched. It is the breakdown of this valuable energy center that flows from the heart upward to the throat. We hear people say: “Is there a frog in your throat?” This happens when we are feeling ourselves needing to clear our throat, when trying to speak, this is an indicator that we are not processing through the heart and flowing clearly from the thymus. Be more mindful of our speech and see where we may be blocked. Like anything else, this is a practice and an exercise which will lead to health and vitality. Enjoy our discovery of the mysterious yet purposeful 8th Chakra.
