The Woodstock-New Paltz Arts and Crafts Fair is being held this weekend (9/5-9/7) at the Ulster County Fairgrounds. Admission for the event is Adults $7, Seniors $6 and children under 16 are free. This is not just any old arts and crafts show, some of the best artisans both locally and internationally apply to be a part of this festival that has taken place each Memorial and Labor Day Weekend since 1982. You will not only be treated to art demonstrations, but some wonderful music from some of the region’s very best. The fair has been ranked number 2 of the country’s best arts and crafts shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine and American Bus Association. The time to be there is 10:00am on both Saturday and Sunday as the fair grounds will be closing at 6:00pm. On Monday the festivities continue from 10:00am until 4:00pm. According to the website there will be “over 300 juried artists and crafts people, live musical entertainment, supervised children’s area, health care products, massage therapy and more.” On Saturday All She Wrote, Dan Strauss, and The Judith Tullock Band will be performing. Sunday’s entertainment will include: JV Squad, Bill Robinson’s Wildlife Show, The Fabulous Phantoms. Monday’s entertainment wrap up will include Werner John and Marcille Wallis. Treat yourself to some of the finest delicacies this fair has to offer, apart from the fine arts, crafts and music, you will be treated to the region’s best wines and food. Everything from handcrafted jewelry, furniture, musical instruments and countless other labors of love will be available for purchase.
