I have a feeling we are no longer in 1939, most of never were, but that doesn't mean we don't love Dorothy and her crew. Those ruby red shoes, adorable little dog and everything else we have always loved about "The Wizard of Oz" will be returning to theaters for a limited run.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the release of "The Wizard of Oz" the fine folks of Warner Brothers have gussied up the picture, turning it into an IMAX 3D experience, and will re-release the film for a one week engagement. Locally, you will be able to take a walk down the yellow brick road at the downtown AMC theater.
Following the theater run a limited edition, five-disc collectors edition of the film will be available in October. The limited edition set will include a new documentary, "The Making of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz," as well as bonus features.
Take a peak at the video above for a clip of the recent reworking of the film.
