When CD Projekt RED initially revealed the first teaser trailer for “Cyberpunk 2077,” a hidden message was left within this teaser trailer that teased a new reveal that will be coming on Feb. 4. Following the discovery of this information, many gamers believed that this would be the announcement of “The Witcher 3.” Thankfully, these guesses were in fact true, as GameInformer announced “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” yesterday as a part of their March cover issue. As expected, this title will also be released for next generation systems, the Xbox 720 and PS4.
Through the information that was delivered by GameInformer, “The Witcher: 3 Wild Hunt” is a “standalone sequel takes the fascinating stories and characters, non-linear plotlines, and difficult decisions that the franchise is known for and puts them all in an open world 30 times larger than the previous game.” Speaking of the game world that will be provided in “The Witcher 3,” it has been stated that this setting will be larger than the one found in “Skyrim,” which has been made possible with the implementation of the newly developed REDengine 3 from CD Projekt RED for the Xbox 720, PS4, and PC.
Although no specific release date has been given, it is stated that this title will be coming in 2014 on the PC and “all high-end platforms available,” which is obviously referring to the Xbox 720 and PS4. Be prepared for a huge amount of information on this title once this issue of GameInformer is released.
