Tomasz Tinc has talked more about the PC, PS4 and Xbox One graphics of the upcoming multiplatform title, “The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.” According to a report from Dual Shockers on April 14, the senior press relations manager at CD Projekt Red reiterated that the development team is going to optimize the open-world action role-playing game for all three platforms.
However, the company can’t confirm any of the leaked details with regards to the technical specifications. “The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt” is apparently going to support 900p on the PS4 in addition to 720p on the Xbox One. The disparities between the two next-generation consoles have affected other multiplatform games in the past. For example, “Call of Duty: Ghosts” ran at a native 1080p on the PS4 as opposed to 720p on the Xbox One. The differences made the first-person shooter look clearer and sharper on Sony’s console when put up against Microsoft’s console.
The PC version of “The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt” is expected to run at 1080p with all visual settings turned up to maximum. According to DSOGaming, however, the video game is currently running with a frame rate clip in between 35 and 45 as opposed to 60 even when using the GTX 780Ti. The PS4 and Xbox One versions are targeting 30 frames per second. You can find an in-game screen showing off the graphics of the upcoming title from the official “Witcher” Facebook account with the photo attached to the top of this article.
“The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt” was set to arrive in 2014 for all three gaming platforms. However, CD Projekt Red needed more time to polish the ambitious video game, which will be published and distributed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in North America as well as Bandai Namco Games in European regions. As a result, the software product won’t be coming out until sometime during the month of Feb. in 2015.
