Peter Gelencser has commented on the potential differences of the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the forthcoming multiplatform title, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” In an interview with Gaming Bolt on Sept. 18, the senior level designer from CD Projekt Red stated that the experience as a whole should be identical on the three systems.
Peter Gelencser also disclosed that the open-world action role-playing game may have minor visual differences based on the different hardware configurations of the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. However, the development team is trying to make the gameplay experience the same without any compromises. You can check out a batch of screenshots from “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” in the slideshow located at the top left-hand side of this article and the comments from Peter Gelencser below (courtesy of Gaming Bolt):
It depends on the hardware differences. The experience should be identical. The individual little tid-bits might be different of course because they are different hardware. That is the point of it. Of course we are trying and aiming to provide the same awesome experience to everyone, with no compromises.
CD Projekt Red previously stated that the development of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” will begin on the PC platform. The open-world action role-playing game will then be ported and tuned specifically for the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems.
“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” won’t be made available until sometime next year. The PS4 and Xbox One will be available by the time the game launches as Sony is planning to release their system on Nov. 15 while the Xbox One is due to come out on Nov. 22 later this year.
