The first details have been revealed for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" collector's edition. According to a report from Gaming Everything on June 5, the premium release of the open-world action role-playing game was officially revealed by CD Projekt Red during a live-stream event. The product is priced at $149.99 and will be coming out on the same day as the standard version.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" collector's edition comes with a miniature statue featuring the main character of the story, Geralt of Rivia, fighting against a Griffin enemy. The package also comes with a 200 page art book, steel book box, "Witcher" medallion as well as collector's boxes to store all of the extras. The bundle will be made available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions.
CD Projekt Red also decided to include several bonuses for the standard release, which is included in the collector's edition. The studio is including a compendium on the "Witcher" universe, detailed world map, official soundtrack CD, tickers and a protective sleeve. The extras come at no additional costs.
The collector's edition costs $90 more than the standalone release of the open-world action role-playing game. Instead of going with digital exclusives, which have become a growing trend in the industry, CD Projekt Red decided to stick with the physical extras. The company did not reveal if the special package will be available at limited quantities.
The studio did confirm in the same live stream event that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is coming out on Feb. 24 in North America and other regions. The same software product was initially a 2014 game. However, it ended up getting delayed as the development team needed more time. In North America, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be the publisher of the next-generation game.
