Apparently Thomas and Mina Edison were grandparents to four grandchildren, and Henry and Clara Ford were also grandparents to four grandchildren.
Grandparents and children will enjoy family friendly activities in the Edison Ford Museum including hands-on science activities featuring the phonograph, “Smart Cart” and zoetrope from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
"Families will enjoy tours throughout the day of the homes, gardens and lab of the two inventors.
Audio tours will be available in English, German, French and Spanish.
Museum demonstrations will be held throughout the day and will include seeing the Edison phonograph every half hour. Other Museum presentations will include viewing of their antique cars." - Winter Estates
Edison Ford is the winner of the 2009 National Stewardship Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It is also an official project of “Save America’s Treasures” at the National Trust for Historic Preservation which is a Florida Historic Landmark and a National Register Historic Site.
